A jury has recommended the death penalty for a 24-year-old man convicted in the robbery and shooting death of another man 2 years ago. Christopher Dale Jones, Jr., was given the death penalty on a 7-5 vote by jurors for his role in the July 17, 2001, slaying of 47-year-old Hilario Dominguez. A final decision will be made by Judge Dan Vaughn.
