Fast track court judge Anil Kumar Srivastav found all the accused guilty of kidnapping Dinbandhu and Pappu Mishra, local businessmen, and awarded capital punishment to Krishna Singh and Jawahar. Assistant Public Prosecutor Radhe Shyam Mishra said the court awarded the death sentence to the two as they were found guilty under Section 364-A of the Indian Penal Code. According to the charges, the convicts kidnapped the brothers for ransom from Rajpur police station in the district in 2007. Later, however, the brothers were rescued by the police.
