A man identified as Mousa, 40 and his son Rasul, 17, have been sentenced to death by hanging for rape, to be carried out publicly. The news was reported by the Towse'e daily, which stated that the two had kidnapped, robbed and raped 25 women in the space of 9 months in the central province of Isfahan. The two were also found guilty of kidnapping 15 children which were robbed without being raped.
The last child to be kidnapped managed to escape and guide police to where she had been held.
The two were sentenced to 74 lashes each for the robberies, a punishment to be carried out prior to the hangings.
