A mass grave of people believed to have been executed by the Taleban had been discovered in Herat, western Afghanistan. The dead were "either shot or dumped" into a swimming pool, a BBC correspondent in the city reported. The bodies had their hands tied behinds their backs, suggesting they were executed.
