a Pakistan national, Mahammad Ali, was hanged at dawn in the Jhang regional district in Pakistan. President Musharraf rejected his request for a pardon. Ali was sentenced in 2000 for murdering Fayaz Ahmad in 1996. He had unsuccessfully appealed to both the High Court and the Supreme Court.
