two Islamist militants were sentenced to death for killing six Shi'ite Muslims in an attack in Pakistan. The militants belonged to Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, a Sunni Muslim militant group banned by the government in January 2002. Mohammad Shaukat and Shahnawaz alias Shani, were found guilty of attacking a bus carrying Shi'ite employees of Pakistan's Space and Upper Atmospheric Research Commission to a mosque in 2003, government lawyer Ghulam Qadir Rajput told Reuters.
