A Public Opinion Research Centre poll revealed that sixty-six per cent of Poles are in favour of the restoration of the death penalty, 24 per cent are against and 10 per cent had no opinion on the matter. The poll showed that 80 per cent of people not practising religion are in favour of the death penalty. The more regular the practising of worship, the less likely people are to be in favour of the sentence.
