Presidential candidate Andrzej Lepper spoke out in Gdansk in favour of restoring the death penalty in Poland for a period of three to five years. "I am definitely in support of the death penalty for a trial period. In recent years, there has clearly been a rise in crime and a drop in police effectiveness," Lepper stated.
