A special committee formed to investigate the fire at Bur Dubai jail in which 14 prisoners lost their lives, completed its investigation.
Ibrahim Bu Melha, Dubai Prosecution Attorney General, said that the committee will hand over the results of the investigation to Gen. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Defence Minister and Head of Police and Public Security, after which the results will immediately be announced at a press conference.
Bu Melha said that according to the criminal codes followed in the country, those found guilty of setting fire intentionally and killing people will be sentenced to death.
