A woman was executed in in China's Guangzhou province after being convicted of running a brothel. State media reported that Wu Guangrong was convicted of organising and providing customers for seven girls who lived and worked in an apartment she rented from February 1999 until June 2000. She allegedly received a 30 per cent "finder's fee" for each customer. The execution was carried out immmediately after Wu was sentenced.
