According to "Jordan Times", a 35-year-old man was sentenced to death by the Criminal Court on conviction of robbing and murdering a woman in Amman in 2001.
Ahmad Nasser, a Water Authority employee, was declared guilty of the robbery and premeditated murder of H. A., in her apartment on Feb. 17, 2001. The court based its ruling on the defendant's confessions to police and the criminal prosecutor.
The Court of Cassation is expected to review Thursday's verdict within 30 days.
