An appeal court in Nangarhar province has reportedly sentenced two kidnappers to death.
A source in Nangarhar province told the Middle East News Agency the court was held in Jalalabad city.
According to the source, the individuals based on Article 6 of the law and under article 395 of the Penal Code were sentenced to death for kidnapping by the Court of Appeals internal and external security.
While he did not provide more information about the identities of the kidnappers said, the defendants’ lawyer called them innocent and demanded the court’s order to renew.
