ALGERIA: 14 MEN SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR TERRORISM

fourteen men were sentenced to death in absentia for terrorism by Algerian authorities, according to agency APS. Thirteen sentences were handed down by the Criminal Court of Tizi Ouzou, 50 km east of Algiers, for membership in a terrorist armed group, carrying prohibited weapon, kidnapping with ransom and murder.
The fourteenth man was sentenced to death in absentia by the Criminal Court of Boumerdes, according to the same source.
