ALGERIA SENTENCES 12 TO DEATH

a court in Boumerdes, Algeria, sentenced 12 people to death on charges of forming an armed Islamist terrorist group, murder, kidnapping and planning explosive attacks, a judicial source said. Another suspect, Arec Rabah, was also sentenced in absentia like the others, to 20 years imprisonment in a separate investigation into links to an "armed terrorist group".
