ALGERIA. MAN SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR TERRORIST ACTIVITIES

the Chlef criminal court, Algeria, sentenced to death Bechairi Khalifa, known as Ould Labane, after convicting him of terrorist related activities. Khalifa had been arrested in 2005 for participating in “numerous massacres” between 1996 and 2004, forming an armed terrorist group, premeditated murder and robbery with violence.
Among the crimes Khalifa was sentenced for was the massacre in the Ketaibia region in January 2001, in addition to his responsibility in the killing of 25 wondering nomads in Senhas.
