Amnesty International says Miss New Zealand's got it wrong on their position about a boycott of Miss World

1 MIN READ
Amnesty International says Miss New Zealand's got it wrong on their position about a boycott of Miss World. Rachel Huljich has decided she will go to the Miss World competition, in Nigeria. She's been under pressure to boycott the event, because a Nigerian woman faces death by stoning for adultery. Miss Huljich is reported as saying Amnesty International doesn't support a boycott. But Amnesty International spokesman Ced Simpson says they take no position on the matter. He says there's division within Amnesty whether a boycott, or protests at the event, would be more effective.
