An Additional District and Sessions Court in Bangladesh sentenced two youths to hang and sentenced two others to one year rigorous imprisonment for murder. The court awarded the death penalty to Abdus Sattar Kajol, 21, and Rashedul Hossain Titu, 20, for murdering college student Ripon in 2001. According to the news report the convicts slaughtered their friend Ripon, 18, on May 8, 2001 over a "trifling matter".
