Killed in the incident were 2 U.S. Department of Agriculture compliance officers, 56-year-old Jean Hillery and 52-year-old Tom Quadros, and 57-year-old state inspector Bill Shaline.
Alexander, 43, who calls himself "The Sausage King," killed the inspectors on June 21, 2000, when they visited his factory to investigate allegations that he was violating food safety regulations.
Alexander also was convicted of attempted murder for attempting to kill a 4th inspector who managed to escape. Alexander's sentencing hearing was scheduled for Feb. 15.
