in San Diego, a jury today recommended the death penalty for a man who kidnapped, raped and killed a 14-year-old girl in 1986. George Williams Jr., 49, strangled Rickie Blake after abducting her from her home. Williams was convicted Sept. 28 of first-degree murder, rape, kidnapping and special circumstance allegations that the girl's murder happened during a rape and kidnapping. Superior Court Judge David Danielsen scheduled sentencing for Jan. 26.
