At the end of the guilt phase of DeMolle's trial on March 20, jurors convicted him of 1st-degree murder plus the special circumstances of murder during rape and murder while committing lewd and lascivious acts with a child for raping and killing an 11 years old girl, Jaquita Mack, on July 23, 1999.
Alameda County Superior Court Judge Larry Goodman is scheduled to sentence Demolle on Sept. 6.
