An anti-terrorism court convicted four workers of the banned Lashkar-i-Jhangvi handing down capital punishment to two of them and life imprisonment to the others in five cases of sectarian killings. Mohammed Talha Hasan alias Nauman, 16, Khalil Ahmed, 32, were sentenced to death for their involvement in the killing of Altaf Hussain, a divisional engineer of the Pakistan Telecommunications Limited, on February 19, 2002. The victim was being driven to his office when his car was ambushed. The driver of the victim identified the two as the ones who had opened fire.
