An appeals court in Ho Chi Minh City upheld the death sentence for corruption given to Truong Thi Thanh Huong, the director of a state-run company in Vietnam

An appeals court in Ho Chi Minh City upheld the death sentence for corruption given to Truong Thi Thanh Huong, the director of a state-run company in Vietnam. Huong had been condemned to death in November 2002 after being found guilty of embezzling 14 billion dong (900,000 dollars) between 1996 and 1999 from An Giang Food.
