An unnamed 46-year-old man convicted of illegal drug production was sentenced to death in Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City. The man was found to have produced 170 kilograms of methamphetamine chlorohydrate used in making hashish. He was arrested in January 2002 after a police investigation. His accomplices, including two Taiwanese, had been condemned to death in 1997 in the same case.
