At Parchman, Jessie Derrell Williams, 51, was executed for the Jan. 12, 1983, killing of Karon Ann Pierce, 18, who was tortured to death. Williams was pronounced dead at 6:42 p.m. in Unit 17 at the State Penitentiary.
