BANGLADESH: 10 TO WALK GALLOWS FOR 2006 MURDERS OF TRUCK DRIVER, ASSISTANT IN RANGPUR

The District and Sessions Judges Court of Rangpur sentenced 10 accused to death for the murder of a truck driver and his assistant in 2006.
“Three of the convicts were present while the verdict was being delivered, the rest are absconding,” said Public Prosecutor AZM Kamruzzaman.
On March 28, 2006, a rice-loaded truck was looted after robbers killed the driver Paresh Chandra and his assistant ‘Manoranjan’.
