A Mymensingh court sentenced a youth to death for killing a couple in 2014.
The condemned convict is Golam Mostafa Mithu, 26.
District Special Sessions Judge Dr Mohammad Amir Uddin handed down the verdict.
According to case statement, Golam Mostafa hacked retired assistant post-master Abdul Haque, 66, and his wife – Akua Government Primary School teacher Rayatun Nesar of Mymensingh district town.
The victims’ son Hasibur Haque Rana filed a murder case with Kotwali Model Thana on the next day.
