After the meeting, Law Minister Barrister Moudud Ahmed told reporters that a cabinet body would further review the new law and submit the final draft within 30 days to the cabinet.
Regarding the proposed law, Moudud said there would be varying punishment for those who financed, cooperated with or trained terrorists. "Death penalty would remain as the maximum punishment in the new law," he was quoted as saying.
