BANGLADESH HC CONFIRMS DEATH SENTENCE OF A CONSTABLE

the Bangladesh High Court confirmed the death penalty awarded in absentia to a police constable by the district court for shooting down a maidservant 11 years ago. The Division bench, comprising Justices Miah and Huq upheld the verdict of the lower court that sentenced constable Abdus Salam to death.
