heroin dealers Shyam Dulal Dev Nath (35) and Saiful Islam (30) were sentenced to death by the Mirpur District Court, in Bangladesh. The prosecution said that on July 10 last year, disguised RAB officers acting on secret information proposed to buy one kilogram of heroin for Tk 80 lakh. The two were arrested at the end of the deal when the heroin was exchanged. Judge Mohammad Amanullah handed down the death penalty after examining seven prosecution witnesses.
