BANGLADESH: MAN GETS DEATH FOR RAPE AND MURDER

a sessions court in Siwan, Bangladesh, awarded the death sentence to a man in a four-year-old rape and murder case. Additional District and sessions Judge Gyaneswar Prasad found Ramdeo Prasad guilty of raping and subsequently killing a minor. He was also awarded 10 years' rigorous imprisonment for rape. According to the charges, the accused, a dweller in Paanchrukhhi police station area, kidnapped his neighbour's four year old daughter and then raped and murdered her on December 21, 2004.
