Mollah Mostafa Kamal, Judge of the Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal in Rangpur, Bangladesh, sentenced to death Akinoor Rahman alias Akibul after conviocting him of killing his wife. According to the prosecution, the convict beat his wife Shapna Begum,20, to death at Betkapa village in Peerganj on December 26, 2000 as she had failed to meet his dowry demand.
