BANGLADESH: MAN TO WALK GALLOWS FOR KILLING WIFE

A court in Bangladesh sentenced a man to death for killing his wife in 2014.
The condemned convict is Shahidullah alias Shahidul Islam in Pekua upazila.
According to the prosecution, Shahidullah strangled his wife Estafa Begum, 19, at their Rajakhali home in Pekua at dead of night on August 25, 2014.
Later, victim’s father Shabir Ali filed a murder case with the police station concerned.
After examining the records and witnesses, District and Sessions Judge M Sadiqul Islam Talukder handed down the verdict.
