BANGLADESH: MAN TO WALK GALLOWS FOR KILLING WIFE

A court in Lakshmipur sentenced a man to death for killing his wife five years back, reports BSS.
The court also fined Monir Hossain, a resident of Paschim Sheikhpur village under Ramganj upazila of the district, Taka one lakh.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Saidur Rahman Gazi, who is also the judge of Woman and Child Repression Control Tribunal, pronounced the verdict against Monir. According to the prosecution, Monir strangulated his wife Kusum Akhter to death on November 17, 2012 as she refused to bring money from her parental house.
