Bangladeshi authorities asked Pakistan to ascertain the whereabouts of two of the killers of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. During a visit to Islamabad, Foreign Secretary C M Shafi Sami told his counterpart there he had reliable information that one of the killers, Major (retd) Shariful Huq Dalim, had been hiding in Pakistan while another killer, Lt Col (retd) Khandaker Abdur Rashid visits Pakistan frequently from another country.
