Baroness Sarah Ludford asked the President of Parliament to write to the Governor of Texas and President Bush following the execution of Jackie Elliott. Baroness Ludford pointed out that a Texas judge had refused to allow new DNA testing in the case of a British-born man. She called for "injustices such as this not to go unnoticed".
