Amnesty International urged the President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko to grant clemency to a man facing imminent execution.
Vasily Yusepchuk’s death sentence for the murder of six elderly women was upheld by the Supreme Court leaving him 10 days to ask the President Lukashenko for clemency.
"The Belarusian authorities must also immediately declare moratorium on all executions and death sentences," said Amnesty’s Heather McGill.
