Bharatiya Janata Party spokesman V.K. Malhotra said that "action needed to be taken under the Prevention of Terrorism Act" against all those who were protesting the death sentence awarded to three of the four accused in the Parliament House attack case. Referring to the calls for protest given in Kashmir by human rights organisations Malhotra said: "Human rights are only for human beings, not for terrorists. It is an insult to human rights to protest against those found guilty ... the guilty do not deserve any sympathy".
