Bobby Lee Ramdass, 28, white, was put to death by lethal injection in Greenville Correctional Center. He had been convicted of killing Mohammed Kayani, of Pakistani origin, during a supermarket hold-up on 2nd September 1992. He was the seventh person to be executed in the State during the year, the 80th since the State resumed executions in 1982. He was the 70th to be put to death in the U.S. during the year and No 668 since the death penalty was re-introduced in 1976.
