Brian Robinson, 36, black, was executed by lethal injection. Robertson had been convicted of murdering James Lois Boots, a white 79 year old, whilst committing a burglary in the man's apartment on 30th August, 1986. He was the 27th person to be executed in the State during the year, No 226 since the State resumed executions in 1974. He was the 57th to be put to death in the U.S. during the year and No 655 since the death penalty was re-introduced in 1976.
