Chatham County Superior Court Judge James F. Bass Jr. sentenced Darryl Scott Stinski, 23, to two death sentences on murder charges in the April 11, 2002, slayings of Susan Pittman and her daughter, Kimberly.
Pittman, 41, and her 13-year-old daughter were slain during a burglary at their home.
In imposing sentence, Bass adopted the findings of the jury of 10 women and two men who, just before midnight Tuesday, recommended a death sentence for Stinski.
Stinski's sentence mirrors Bass' sentence for co-defendant Dorian Frank O'Kelley who was convicted of both murders in November 2005.
