CHINA. ANHUI HEFEI CITY INTERMEDIATE PEOPLE'S COURT SENTENCES TO DEATH MAN INVOLVED IN CRIMINAL SYNDICATE

in its initial trial, the Anhui Hefei City Intermediate People's Court, China, sentenced Hu Bin to death on charges of “organizing and leading a criminal syndicate-like organization, intentional injury, provoking trouble and illegal possession of guns”.

Two other men involved in the case, Chen Sanmao and Zhu Qingkai, were sentenced to 20 years and to life imprisonment respectively. The court sentenced 30 other defendants to jail terms ranging from six months to 19 years. It was alleged that from 1999 to 2003, Hu “gathered a gang of ex-prisoners to engage in the above-mentioned criminal activities.”   cond metplo reordvi reordnveco
