CHINA. TWO MEN EXECUTED IN XIAN, SHAANXI

authorities in Xian, China, executed Gao Delong, 52, and Rong Jinku for separate crimes. It was reported that on 4 November 1998, Dai and six other persons injured Goa’s son, causing his death.

On 23 January 2001, Gao ignited two explosive devices in Xian Communications University Hospital, injuring six patients and a nurse. On 1 March 2001, he ignited an explosive device at the front door of the Xia residence, causing 3,600 yuan in damage.
On 26 January 2004, he ignited an explosive device at Dai's residence and several other places, causing 49,000 yuan in damage. In the second case, on 30 November 2003, Rong and his friend had a dispute with a taxi driver. Rong's friend left and but the driver intended to stop Rong from leaving the scene by lying in front of Rong's jeep. Rong drove his jeep away, dragging the body of the driver and causing his death.
