in its initial trial, the Jiangmen Intermediate People's Court, China, sentenced Burmese national Zhao Qiaohua to death for heroin trafficking. It was reported that on 28 March 2004, Jiangmen city police arrested Zhao as he was transporting 38.9 kg of heroin hidden inside 10 tons of petrified wood.
