The court sentenced 33 other men involved in the case from various terms imprisonment to death with 2 years reprieve. It was reported that from 1996 to 2002, Xie organized a gang to dominate cooking coal markets and committed a variety of crimes including inflicting injury to others, gambling and loan sharking.
