CHINA. MAN EXECUTED IN GUANGDONG FOR MURDER

gang member Zhou, 33, Yanfan in Chaozhou in China’s Guangdong Province, was convicted of murder and possessing two handguns. In 1995, Zhou reportedly joined a gang led by Zheng Huang, who later died in a fight.
Zheng instructed gang members to kill a man known as Lu, the owner of an underground gambling den who didn't pay a protection fee. In September 1995, Zhou and others shot Lu at a roadside food stall in Chaozhou. Lu and one other person were killed in the attack.
