Christopher Black Sr. was executed. He was pronounced dead at 6:19 p.m. Black was convicted of killing Katrease Houston, his estranged wife, Gwendolyn Black, their daughter Christina Marie, 5-month-old, and his step-granddaughter, Katrease Houston, 17-month-old, on Feb. 7, 1998. Black becomes the 18th condemned inmate to be put to death this year in Texas and the 43rd this year in the USA.
