CONGO OVERRULES NORWEGIANS’ DEATH SENTENCES

the death sentence of the two Norwegians sentenced by the military court of Kisangani town in Orientale Province in the Democratic Republic of Congo was quashed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A communique from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that they will not receive the death sentence and that Foreign Minister Alexis Tambwe Mwamba assured that they will seek other punishments.
