Council of Europe (CE) authorities welcomed the decision of the Albanian Constitutional Court to abrogate the death penalty

Council of Europe (CE) authorities welcomed the decision of the Albanian Constitutional Court to abrogate the death penalty. This decision, according to the Council's authorities, paved the way for Albania to join the 40 CE member countries which have already lifted the death penalty.
