COURT CONDEMNS 170 DEFENDANTS

the Baghdad Central Criminal Court in Iraq condemned 170 defendants on charges of killings, arms possession and joining armed groups, according to an official source at the Supreme Judicial Council. The court handed down rulings of death by hanging, 30 years’ imprisonment and life terms against 170 persons, 26 of them received death sentences for committing murders and joining armed groups, the source said.
