Dwayne Weeks, 37, black, was executed by lethal injection. He had confessed to murdering his wife Gwendolyn Weeks, 27, and her friend Craig Williams, 33, on 10th April 1992. He was the first and only person to be put to death in Delaware during the course of the year. He was the 79th to be put to death in the U.S. during the year and No 677 since the death penalty was re-introduced in 1976.
